Students (especially those of you blessed with a beautiful voice):

Rev. Wade has set a new policy for recruiting you to sing in the choir.  If you join the choir and regularly attend choir practice and performances, you get your meals on Wednesday Night at Trinity free for the academic year.

Special Music

November 4, 2007

GUEST PERFORMER, ANTONIO CARLOS PARTELA, FLUTIST

We enjoyed a special treat this Sunday, as Antonio Carlos Partela, flutist, performed the Adagio and Allegro from Telemann's Fantasia No. 2 in A- as the special offertory music.  He also accompanied congregational singing of hymns and the choral anthem during Holy Communion.

Mr. Partela and Jim Taylor, Director of Music Ministries

Mr. Partela, or "Tota," as he is called, is from Brazil, and he finds himself in Tuscaloosa as his wife is pursuing a doctorate in Piano Performance.  At present, he has taken over teaching the flute lesson schedule for the principal flute professor at the University while she is on maternity leave.  Jim Taylor was impressed with his recent performance in a faculty ensemble, and he graciously accepted Jim's invitation to share his wonderful talent with us.

Thank you so much, Tota, for your contribution to our worship service.
