Meditation, Prayer & Holy Communion

Start your Sunday with a brief meditation, prayer and Holy Communion. The Eucharist is celebrated each Sunday morning in this 15-20 minute service in the Lane Busby McLelland Chapel located in the Education Building except on the first Sunday of each month when Communion is celebrated in the 10:30 am Worship hour,    Rev. Ron McKay usually delivers a brief homily or meditation on the same topic about which he will be preaching in the 10:30 Morning Worship service.

Our 10:30 Sunday morning worship service is a traditional liturgy that incorporates other celebratory media such as dance, non-keyboard instrumental music, and drama from time to time.

The preaching style of our senior minister can be described as thought provoking, challenging and inspiring.

Be prepared to be greeted warmly by Bill Scarbrough at the door as you enter (and as you leave) and at the start of the service during the “Walk Around and Greet Each Other” period.

Holy Communion is celebrated in this service on the first Sunday of the month. During the Summer months, after The University has its Spring graduation, the service features camp meeting singing and an informal dress code.

Nursery is provided during the 10:30 Service.
