Activities for Host Families and Their Students

One of Trinity's new happy families!

The Trinity Adopt-A-Student program pairs University students with Trinity families.  This gives students a family unit for fellowship and support.  Being new in town and on campus sometimes is a lonely place.  Knowing you have someone to call for encouragement and help that is close by is good to know.

While many of you have a circle of friends, we still believe that there are times when having a local family to call on would be just what you need.

Sign up for Adopt-A-Student and discover why Trinity is the place for students to belong, believe and become.

Pros

  • Some students might feel more comfortable coming to worship if they don't already have a circle of friends.  Adopt-A-Student gives you someone with whom you can worship.

  • You may make a Tuscaloosa friend for a lifetime (useful for home games)

  • You can see faith in action in the lives of God's people.

  • You will have an "off campus" resource for community information and assistance.

  • You might get some home-cooked food.

  • You might have an alternate place to do laundry (without the coin slots!)

  • There will always be someone you know at a church function.

Cons

  • You might be invited to dinner.

  • Somebody might give you a friendly call from time to time just to see how things are going.

  • You will have to endure encouragement and support for your studies.

  • Care packages may appear at your doorstep.
