They
say your "sunset" years are a sort of "lame duck" time
of your life, but our Sunset-Funset group at Trinity say, "Phooey to
that!" This group of seasoned Trinitarians are happy travelers
and have been enjoying social outings
for many years, now. As they explore exciting places and attend
stimulating events all over North Alabama, they laugh, learn, and enjoy
the experience of Christian fellowship.
This group, made up of the
most active volunteers and time contributors in our congregation, are
creating closer and closer bonds with each other and with their
church. They give the lie to the oft-heard, "I'm too busy to do
that." They demonstrate the benefits of balancing hard work and
energetic play.
They meet regularly in the
Sunset-Funset Parlor of the Education Wing to plan their trips, conduct
philanthropic business and socialize. Chuck Taylor leads the
program and would be delighted to hear from you and recruit you to join
the group.
Their activities range from
trips to the Lonesome Dove Ranch to a Hawaiian luau in Fellowship Hall.
Here's some of the places they've been to and things they've done over the
past two years:
