*AFFIRMATION OF FAITH      The Apostle's Creed                                                  #881

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
the Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord:

Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit,
    born of the Virgin Mary,
    suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.

He descended into hell.

The third day He arose again from the dead.

He ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty,
whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church,
    the communion of saints,
    the forgiveness of sins,
    the resurrection of the body,
    and life everlasting.

Amen.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE & THE LORD’S PRAYER                                                             #895

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name.  Thy kingdom come.  Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread.  And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.  For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.  Amen.

OFFERING

Give thanks with a grateful heart, give thanks to the Holy One, give thanks for what He’s given Jesus Christ his Son.   And now let the weak say “I am strong”; let the poor say “I am rich because of what the Lord has done for us.” Give thanks!
