 Charlotte M. Davis, age 96, of Tuscaloosa, died Jan. 17, 2007 at LaRocca Nursing Home. Services will be 12 noon Saturday at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dan Kilgore and E. Calhoun Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Her husband, Gordon Davis, grandson, John P. Baird, brother, Drayton Martin, her parents and grandparents, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter, Anna D. Adams (Larry C.) of Tuscaloosa; son, Richard K. Davis (Sharyn) of Brookhaven, Miss.; brother, Howard Martin of Alexandria, Va.; grandchildren, Angie D. Baird of Tuscaloosa and Keith Davis (Heather) of Dora, N.C.; great grandchildren, Joshua Baird, Allie Baird, Caroline Baird, John Davis Baird and Edith Davis; granddaughter-in-law, Lisa S. Baird; special family, Lillie Curry of Tuscaloosa and E. Calhoun Wilson and wife Gene Wilson of Tuscaloosa; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Miss Charlotte was raised in Virginia. She graduated from the Norfolk General Hospital School of Nursing and worked with the Veterans Administration in Tuscaloosa, where she met her husband of 53 years. She was active in many civic and social clubs. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and later joined Christ Episcopal Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Pallbearers will be Jo Biggs, Clyde Biggs, Alvin Ratliff, Roger Myers, John McCulley, Chad Fleming, Chad Adams and Jerry Baird.

Honorary pallbearers are Wimbredth Chism, Elizabeth Rutledge, Donald Worrell, Jamie Watkins (Owen), Gracie Pearson, Ginny Martin, Olivia McCracken, Libby Edwards (Mark), Tommy Ingram, Gloria Benefield, Dorothy Wilkinson, Millie, Terry, Melanie Baird, Wanda Giliam, Evelyn Hardy and loving and caring staff at LaRocca Nursing Home, Women of Christ Episcopal Church, members of PEO Sisterhood Chapter I, Red Hat Society, Tuscaloosa Garden Club, Avant-Gard, HERA Study Clubs.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Christ Episcopal Church, Trinity UMC, or a favorite charity.
