Trinity's Pledge to Habitat Trinity United Methodist Church is participating in the sponsorship of a Habitat for Humanity house for a deserving family. We are partnering with Habitat and other churches in the Tuscaloosa Community for the Apostle Build. Normally, we ask you for your time and building talents, but this time we want you to help financially with the most recent Habitat project that many of you helped build. Trinity has pledged to give $5,000.00 toward the building of this house. We
ask that each member of
our church commit to this project with their prayers and
donations. All donations will be credited to the
Habitat for Humanity Fund # 111. Thank you in advance for helping to give a deserving family a brighter future!

Rev. Michelle Hunter wrote this about our CROP Walk for a recent Trinity Sunday Worship Bulletin:
We
Walk Because They Walk C.R.O.P. WALK MARCH 30th 2:00
p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Every six seconds a child dies from hunger. Every six seconds! This fact is absolutely astounding when we consider that in America we have so much food that we throw it away. Just last night I am ashamed to say that I uncovered green and fuzzy leftovers when I cleaned out my refrigerator, and I threw them away.
We live in the land of abundance. It is so easy to forget that the rest of the world doesn’t live at our standard of living. Millions of people, all around the world, don’t know where their next meal will come from. They walk to get water, they walk to find food, and they walk to keep themselves and their families alive. And so, because they walk we will walk, too.
The Wesley Foundation is sponsoring the C.R.O.P. Walk on March 30. C.R.O.P. is a non-profit Christian organization that sends money to feed the hungry in America and throughout the world. C.R.O.P. sponsors walks all around America to raise money. Here in Tuscaloosa, donations are made and participants walk together, in solidarity with the hungry, on a predetermined path on campus. The Trinity UMC Mission and Mercy Cluster encourage you to participate to support the Wesley Foundation and to offer hope to a hungry family. Just a few donations and a little bit of your time will make all the difference to a hungry child.
Every
six seconds a child dies from hunger.
Now that you know, what will you do?
Michelle

Mission Trip To Chacraseca, Nicaragua Summer of 2008 Wes Stewart has created a blog for this pioneering adventure here at Trinity--our first international mission trip. It will inform you of the planning and needs of the team as they get ready for their journey, and, best of all, the team will write about their experiences and send us photos of what they find and do IN REAL TIME, while they are down there. Visit the Nicaragua Blog . . . . and visit often! ______________________________ |

Looking for a Quick and Thoughtful Gift??
Just a reminder that Trinity is still working towards becoming an Ark Church through the Heifer Project. This means that we have to meet a goal of $5000.00. The children have worked hard to meet this goal, but we still need $2500.00. You can help them with this through gifts for others (we have gift cards available) or you can make a donation and designate it to the Heifer Project. Please prayerfully consider this worthwhile project. Thank You, Mission Cluster Almost any amount from $1 to $5,000 will purchase animals for underdeveloped countries in honor of your loved one, and help Trinity toward our goal of becoming an Ark Church. Call Michelle for more information. ______________________________ |
