One of the most memorable trips from the standpoint of fascinating things seen and learned was the trip to the Lonesome Dove Ranch in Alabaster, Alabama, near Pelham.  Telling about it to the Concord Class on their return, the stories about this showcase built by a proud father as a memorial to his gifted deceased daughter were told with animation and awe.  Our Happy Travelers thought this outing was a Great Trip.  Chuck sent me this photo on the right, labeled "Bill," so I presume he's the "proud father" who operates the Lonesome Dove Ranch.

Apologies to Larry (the city slicker), Ed (the farm hand), Marilyn (the lounger) and to Jim Perham who took some of these photos that I found on the Internet at his Odessy Gallery (www.perham.net)  and altered with my PhotoShop.  You probably guessed that something was up from the change of clothes, anyway.
