Christmas 2006 at Trinity

Here are a few scenes from around Trinity during the 2006 Christmas season.  Our members who celebrated the Hanging of the Greens turned the sanctuary into a beautiful scene that has created the hopeful anticipation of the Advent season.  Trinity Sunday school classes, groups and organizations are having their fellowship socials that create bonds of friendship and love that mark the season.  Enjoy!

The Lighting of the Candles of the Advent Wreath featuring the families with young children has been meaningful.

The First Sunday after Exodus -- This is not a fair representation of the crowd at church on the first Sunday after Finals Week at the University.  Louis took this photo while Alan was making the first announcements, and more members arrived later . . . . . but the point is made:  Our students fill the place with sunshine by their presence.

Wednesday Night Christmas Party

December 13

The Players at the Christmas Party included Trinity elf Alan, Santa Claus, Trinity Rudolph Michelle and Trinity emcee Tom.  The mystery guest turned out to be a thawed out Neanderthal "Nero Joe."

Under the direction of Diane Dyer, the children of Trinity brought gifts to the Christ Child.

We love our pastor . . . and show it!

. . . . in every way we can.

We have been blessed with wonderful vocalists and instrumentalists who have contributed elegance to our services this Christmas.  Molly McPherson, gifted soprano, and her family were the Gaudete Sunday (3rd Sunday of Advent) performers.

The Nativity migrated from the piano to the narthex because the piano was in great use this Christmas.

Christmas Socials

The Christmas holidays are the time for many of the Trinity small groups, organizations and Sunday school classes to get together for fellowship.  Here are some scenes from those events.  Click on the small picture for a larger photo.
