Welcome Visitors

We are thankful when visitors choose to worship with us.  If you are looking for a warm and inviting atmosphere where the Word is preached unashamedly, we hope you will join us at 10:30 on Sunday mornings.  We hope that you experience the presence of God as we glorify Him together.

If you’d like more information on our church including spiritual growth and ministry opportunities, please call Rev. Wade Griffith or Rev. Michelle Hunter at the church office anytime Monday through Thursday.  The number for the church office is 759-4206.

If you are a student visitor to Trinity, we welcome you.  We know your time and schedules during this special period of your career are valuable.  You honor us and God when you take time to worship with us.  If we can assist you in any way, please call or come by.

Habitat for Humanity

"FAITH BUILD"

Trinity United Methodist Church is participating in the sponsorship of a Habitat for Humanity house for a deserving family. We are partnering with Habitat and 12 other churches in the Tuscaloosa Community for another Habitat For Humanity Tuscaloosa Faith Build.

Each partner church is asked to give $5,000.00 toward the building of this house.   Trinity has raised $3,868.80 and has $1,131.20 to go to meet our pledge.

We ask that each member of our church commit to this project with their prayers, volunteering and pledges. Thank you in advance for helping to give a deserving family a brighter future!  All donations will be credited to the Habitat for Humanity Fund # 111.

Nicaragua News!!!

We spring cleaned those garages!!!

Dug out those dusty basements!

Aired out those jam-packed attics!

Trinity’s Yard Sale on May 3 to benefit the Nicaragua mission trip brought in almost $1,000.

We are still collecting gently used items (no clothes) to sell at our next yard sale in June.  You may bring them to Trinity at anytime and place them on the stage.

Thanks for being a part of our mission team!

 Icemaker Needed

Trinity’s Icemaker in the Sunset Funset Room is unable to be repaired and we need to replace it with a new one. A new icemaker will cost approximately $1200.00.  We have received $845.00 toward this project.

Please consider making a contribution to replace our much missed ice-maker.  A memorial or honorarium can also be made to the Icemaker fund.

Graduating Seniors:

If you are graduating this year from Senior High School, we need a copy of your graduation picture and a brief write up about your accomplishments, hobbies, etc. and what you plan to do after graduation.

Please give this information to Michelle Hunter or Lynda Jones as soon as possible.

Bouquets of Love Flower Ministry!

If the Bouquets of Love Flower Ministry is to continue, we’ll need more volunteers to participate in this ministry.  Some of our volunteers have moved and others have health problems.

If you can deliver flowers to nursing homes, retirement homes or to the home bound on Mondays once every other month, please call Sarah Caldwell at 205-345-4356

"Sing to Him a new song,

play skillfully and shout for joy"

Psalm 33:3

Join our Choir and sing for joy

on Wednesday nights at 6:00 p.m.

There are many selections there

for your reading enjoyment.

Prayer Chain

Prayer is one of the most important ways that we connect with each other and with God.  Our Prayer Team is looking for new volunteers to uphold Trinity, Tuscaloosa, and the world with prayer.

If you are interested in serving in this capacity, please contact the church office.  You may serve on the phone or the e-mail prayer team.

Visit the Trinity Prayer Page

Trinity Membership Database

Please remember to help us build our Trinity database.  It is one simple way to help our ministry grow and strengthen.

Please take a moment when you get this to send your information  (your name and the names of those in your household, your home, work & cell phone numbers and your e-mail address) into the office.  As I mentioned before, we will only use this information internally.

Please e-mail your information to: trinitydatabase@yahoo.com.

if you don’t “do” e-mail, you can send it to the church or drop it into the offering plate.

                                    Thanks,

                                      Wade

Hard Back Books Needed

Doris Kispert is collecting books for the new Ronald McDonald House in Birmingham.

If you have new or “nearly new" hard back books, they are greatly needed.

Children’s Books

Teens Books

Adult Books

On the inside cover please print:

Ronald McDonald House

Birmingham, Alabama

Leave the books in the Sunset Funset room for Doris to pick up during the month.

Bustamante Outreach Mission

The Concord Class is collecting items for the Bustamante Outreach Mission in Mexico.  The Ray’s are planning another trip soon.  If you could help by donating items of shampoo, soap, toothpaste, deodorant, children’s socks and children’s underwear, and school supplies that include the following: spiral notebooks, ink pens, pencils, glue, construction paper, crayons, markers and folders it would be great

Boxes for collections are in the Concord Classroom.

Sanctuary Care Team

On Monday mornings at 8:30 a.m., we have a group of Trinity members who volunteer to clean up the Sanctuary from our Sunday morning worship services -- picking up discarded bulletins, checking pew pads, replacing pencils & pens--a general time of tidying up.

We are seeking additional volunteers to help with this important ministry.  If you are interested, please call the church office and leave your name with Lynda, Phone 205-759-4206
